WorldSkills Thailand Regional Competition 2022

The Albert Einstein Cup 2022 will be hosted for the third time between May 30 and June 2, 2022, in the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Neubrandenburg, Germany.
This competition serves as an Open European Championships in Skill 09 - IT Software Solutions for Business and also in the new Skill 08 - Mobile Applications Development.
Twelve competitors from France, Hungary, Switzerland and Germany, as well as international competitors from Ghana and India, test their skill at the WorldSkills level.
All sessions of the competition, the Opening and the Closing Ceremony will be streamed live on Youtube – https://blz-it.de/youtube .

Taitaja2022 Pori, Finnish National Skills Competition

Over 40 skills, hundreds of competitors and tens of thousands of visitors together create Taitaja, the biggest educational event in Finland, held this year in Pori. The event aims to promote vocational education, improve connections between vocational schools and companies, and increase the awareness of vocational education and professional skills. As part of the event, there is a free, international seminar held, which can be participated virtually from all over the world. Unfortunately, international competitors cannot be included in the competition this year.

Swedish Vocational Championships

The Vocational Championships are Sweden's largest investment in increasing interest and recruitment to vocational education. Through a large and content-rich competition and exhibition event every two years, hundreds of Sweden's most professional young people compete and measure their strengths against each other in around 60 professions. During three intensive days, schools and the general public are offered free access to the event to have the opportunity to watch, ask questions and try out different professions for themselves. The Vocational Championships are large, the total event area often occupies an area of about 40,000 m².

Empowered by WorldSkills Portugal, this second edition of SkillsPortugal Digital aims to develop a National Digital Skills Competition, according to the guidelines of WorldSkills International, and with the following objectives:
• affirm the “brand” SkillsPortugal Digital on the national VET scenario, in parallel with the face-to-face skills competitions;
• have an incubator of competitors for the face-to-face skills competitions;
• raise society's awareness of the importance of qualifications in the digital area;
• make a contribution to reinforcing the digitalization of companies, aiming at greater competitiveness and resilience;
• enhance partnerships and synergies with leading companies at national and global level in the digital area;
• embodying European and national guidelines on digital education and training;

This second edition will have 21 skills in competition and an estimated number of 200 competitors. -

WorldSkills Singapore 2021

WorldSkills Singapore 2021 (WSS 2021) is scheduled from 29 Sep to 8 Oct 2021 to select top medallists to represent Singapore at the regional and international skills competition. Although a national skills competition was conducted in 2020, Singapore will need to conduct another scaled down competition for 19 skills areas where competitors are unable to compete in WSC Shanghai owing to the postponement.
Similar to past national competitions, the best talents from Singapore’s vocational and technical institutions, and universities will participate in the 3-day competition for a chance to represent Singapore. Competitors representing Singapore at WSC Shanghai in Oct 2022 will comprise of winners from WSS 2020 and WSS 2021. -
WorldSkills Chinese Taipei 2021 National Skills Week

2021 National Skills Week is to be staged from September 29 through October 3, including National Skills competition and a series of activities--Conference and workshops. The event is scheduled to be organized at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, with opening ceremony September 29 and closing ceremony October 3. This year's National Skills Competition will bring together more than 900 competitors around the island, competing for 52 skills medals. Plus, over 100 Junior Competitors participating in 13 Junior skills. Under the same roof, you can find "try your skills", "career guidance", "future skills" and "be a maker" areas to attract the visitors. The Skills Cooperation conference is to take place in the neighborhood, with speakers and guests from more than 20 countries.

WorldSkills Japan - Prototype Modelling Skill Challenge

Given the postponement of WorldSkills Shanghai 2021 to October 2022, and postponement or cancellation of most national and regional competitions, WorldSkills Japan has decided to offer a series of skill challenges for Prototype Modelling. The Prototype Modelling skill challenges will be a shared, competitive, learning experience meant to keep Member countries and regions, and their teams, prepared for Shanghai in 2022.
As the first step, we will hold open online joint training from 27th July 2021 to 29th July 2021. Please refer to the website for more information.
We are also planning to have onsite joint training in Japan for new entry Members after the COVID pandemic has settled down.

WorldSkills Europe Online Skills Challenge in Graphic Design Technology

In support of the Year of Innovation, WorldSkills Europe has announced a new Online Skills Challenge in Graphic Design Technology. Open exclusively to WorldSkills Europe and WorldSkills Members, the Online Skills Challenge has been created for young people and experts to compete, share, learn, and become prepared for EuroSkills and WorldSkills Competitions.
The Challenge has been developed in collaboration with WorldSkills Portugal’s Nuno Viana, who is the Graphic Design Technology Chief Expert for EuroSkills Graz 2021, and WorldSkills Russia’s Andrey Ermakov, who is the Graphic Design Technology Deputy Chief Expert for EuroSkills Graz 2021.
The event takes place on Wednesday 14 July 2021. A pre-event briefing for Experts will take place on
Monday 5 July 2021.
