    WorldSkills Ghana presents zonal skills competition as a pre-event selection to National Skills competition. This serves as a platform in promoting "the need for skills" and gives opportunity for skilled young people to compete among themselves. The zonal skills competition is divided into the Northern zone and the southern zone. The venue for the former is at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Kumasi and the latter is Accra Technical University (ATU), Accra.
