Sanitation Studio is an international programme from Healthabitat (Australia) which develops design processes and construction methods to improve living environments and consequently improve the health of people.

The Sanitation Studio projects work with existing, skilled teams which are established, locally driven, small and effective at using small amounts of money to make great change. WorldSkills Foundation add further support to these projects by sponsoring involvement of skilled and passionate Champions and Experts from across the WorldSkills network. Together with Healthabitat we see the potential of tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, carpenters and bricklayers being directly involved in improving health by working with - and passing on skills to - these strong, locally managed organisations.
