Russia to host 45th WorldSkills Competition in 2019

Brazil welcomes the world at the Opening Ceremony of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015
The Opening Ceremony of the 43rd WorldSkills Competition was held on Tuesday, 11 August at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo, Brazil. The official of the start of the Competition began with the Parade of Nations - including 59 countries and regions represented by 1,192 Competitors with their home country/region flags flying and their heads held high - demonstrating their personal pride in the opportunity to compete in their skill on the world-class WorldSkills stage.

The “New Look at Skills” is a collaboration between WorldSkills Foundation and Autodesk, mentioned above.

Building Excitement For WorldSkills São Paulo 2015
After more than two years of dreaming, planning, collaborating, and highly-skilled hard work, it is incredibly exciting to find ourselves mere days away from the start of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015. Anticipation is building on all fronts, and at Anhembi Park things are building - literally! The Competition is an historic event for Anhembi, one of the largest event centres in Latin America. Anhembi hosts more than 30% of the main events that take place in Brazil - including popular performers such as Jennifer Lopez, cultural icons such as the Bolshoi Ballet, and unique leaders such as the Dalai Lama. Now, the venue welcomes WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, the first-ever event to use all three parts of the Park for one event (Sambadrome, Palace, and Pavilion), and it will utilize a total of 212,000 m2.

Celebrate the winners of the World Youth Skills Day 2015 campaign
The inaugural World Youth Skills Day was celebrated on 15 July, 2015 with fanfare around the world. Along with various national and regional skill organizations, as well as governmental and non-governmental agencies, WorldSkills was proud to celebrate the first-ever day dedicated to focusing global attention on the relevance and critical importance of skills and youth development as a tool to benefit economies and societies.
