WorldSkills youth ambassadors wanted
Apply now to become a WorldSkills Champions Trust Representative in your region. Become part of a group of Champions passionate about sharing their skills story and connecting with Champions around the globe.
Are you a Competitor from WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, WorldSkills Kazan 2019, or WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017? If WorldSkills has transformed your life and you are passionate about sharing your skills story, you can now apply to join the WorldSkills Champions Trust.
The Champions Trust are ambassadors of the WorldSkills movement. Representing every corner of the globe, they are a volunteer group of eleven Champions, as diverse as the skills and regions they represent.
They attend local and international events to be the voice of skilled youth around the globe. They are the communications line between Champions and WorldSkills and other stakeholders in the skill development landscape.
Through social media content, Champions Trust representatives become role models for the younger generation looking to choose a career path and promote the value of investing in skill development.
Their role at 46th WorldSkills Competition took the Champions Trust to new heights, participating in important ceremonial events on behalf of WorldSkills International.
“Having the honour of bringing out the WorldSkills flag not only to be a massive highlight of the event for me, but it also symbolised something even more important. It was the beginning of someone else’s WorldSkills journey, and it brought back all my memories of when I competed and what an amazing opportunity it was,” says Daniel McCabe, regional representative for Europe.
Recruitment for the next group of Champions Trust members is open until 23 January 2023. Interested? Find more information on how to apply and eligibility criteria.
