The local, national, and global legacy

The 47th WorldSkills Competition served as a global platform to showcase the value of championing TVET, the importance of WorldSkills Occupational Standards, and the strength of the skills community in driving change. As Champions return home with a renewed sense of pride, a wealth of life experiences, and new friends, we reflect on success of the Competition.

Moving TVET to the top of the global agenda

Next week the UN Summit of the Future begins. Delegates from WorldSkills Conference 2024 have been urged to continue to play their part in advocating for skills. Now WorldSkills will take the issues and ideas from the Conference forward into its work over the coming weeks, months, and years. WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

Always looking forward, WorldSkills is already preparing for the 48th WorldSkills Competition. WorldSkills China received the WorldSkills flag last night at the Closing Ceremony and offered the audience a glimpse of the magnificent city and a taste of what they have in store for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.
