Join the UNESCO & Women@Dior Dream for Change E-conference on 31 March
On 31 March the 2020 Mentees will be recognized and the 2021 programme will launch, welcoming a new group of Mentees to the programme.
In 2020, UNESCO & Dior invited WorldSkills and our Members to identify young skilled women to participate in Women@Dior. This unique international mentoring and educational program has coached thousands of young women all over the world helping them to blossom.
Thirty-seven women from ten WorldSkills Member countries and regions (Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Iran, Jamaica, Kenya, Morocco, Philippines, South Africa, and Zambia) were selected to participate.
Through the educational program, they are trained by inspiring leaders and stakeholders on themes such as gender equality and women’s leadership for a sustainable future. The Mentees were guided by their Dior Mentors as they take their first steps in their careers.
One Mentee was Yousra Assali, Electronics WorldSkills Champion from Morocco. “The programme was so informative, teaching us four core values of a leader - empowerment, inclusiveness, creativity, and sustainability,” said Yousra.
“We worked as a team on the Dream for Change project to help, support, and empower women,” explained Yousra. “My favorite part was working with such talented women from different countries, backgrounds, and skills. We learned so much from each other and complemented each other, working towards a unified goal.”
On 31 March at the UNESCO & Women@Dior Dream for Change E-conference, the 2020 Mentees will be recognized and the 2021 programme will launch, welcoming a new group of Mentees to the programme.
David Hoey, CEO of WorldSkills International, will participate in the event, congratulating the past participants and welcoming Mentees recruited for 2021 by our Members from Africa and in partnership with the African Union.
WorldSkills is proud to stand alongside Dior as a partner of UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition.
