Ray English

Ray English brings over 30 years of WorldSkills experience to his role as Board Member – Strategic Development, having been involved in WorldSkills activities nationally since 1991 and internationally since 2003.

Ray's career in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) includes his current position as Head of Discipline for Apprenticeship at TU Dublin.

His governance experience extends to chairing the WorldSkills Ireland Advisory Council and serving as Technical Delegate at WorldSkills Lyon 2024. He has also headed up the UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre for Ireland and participated in European Alliance for Apprenticeships working groups.

Ray's WorldSkills journey encompasses roles such as Official Delegate, Chief Expert, Expert, and Competitor. With a focus on green and digital skills transition and extensive experience in policymaking and TVET leadership, Ray brings valuable insights to WorldSkills strategic development.
