WorldSkills unveils its Annual Report

WorldSkills captures twelve months of skills excellence and impact in its latest Annual Report.

WorldSkills Annual Report 2024 was released at WorldSkills General Assembly 2025 in Dubrovnik. Members and Global Partners were the first to see it and relive an incredible year in the history of the organization.

The report charts WorldSkills’ major successes in 2024, from its stand-out WorldSkills Competition and Conference that are elevating the value of skills on the global stage, to its international partnerships and programmes that are transforming TVET systems from the ground up.

A key highlight of the report is the reflections on the impact and legacy of WorldSkills Lyon 2024, which was the first WorldSkills Competition to be held at a single site since 2019. The report also paves the way to WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 and includes updates on WorldSkills China’s preparation plans.

The report shares progress on important initiatives such as Impact Measurement and Management, the WorldSkills Museum, and the WorldSkills Global Research Council, as well as revealing how WorldSkills Champions Trust and WorldSkills Experts Faculty have been supporting Members and Partners over the last twelve months.

Francis Hourant, WorldSkills President and Chair, who was elected to his position at WorldSkills General Assembly 2024, reflects in his opening message on the importance of the organization, saying, “WorldSkills has never mattered more.”

He continues, “We are uniquely placed to nurture capable, resilient, and purpose-driven individuals who can thrive in their communities and industries. Yet we must stay relevant, we must be ready to adapt, and we must continue to cooperate. This report is a testament to what we can achieve when we all unite around the power of skills. Read it and be inspired.”
