WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 visitor registration is live

From 23 to 26 September 2026, the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai will host the 48th WorldSkills Competition and welcome over 1,400 Competitors from more than 70 countries and regions to show the world their mastery in 64 skills.

Supporters, visitors, friends, and family can now secure their ticket to witness the magic in person and, because the WorldSkills community believes skills are for all, visitor attendance is free of charge with no additional booking or admission fees.

The Competition Organizer has created a number of ways to register online.

Visitors can register through one of three apps:

• the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 mobile application,
• the official WeChat mini programme, or
• the official Alipay mini programme.

Registration for individual visitors will close at 23:59 on 14 September 2026 so book now. Registration is only available online and people will not be able to register on-site or walk-in.

Visitors should be aware of a few guidelines when they register:

• A person can register up to four visitors, including themselves.
• People under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of six do not need to register but must be accompanied by an adult and proof of age must be provided.
• Visitors will be asked to select their preferred date at the time of booking, though this is for planning purposes only as a valid E-Pass will still grant access to the venue on any or all Competition days.
• Once registered, visitors will receive a confirmation email and a QR code within two days of submitting their booking.
• Visitors are reminded to bring valid identification. International visitors will be required to show the original passport they used for registration alongside their E-Pass.

On 23 September, the first day of the Competition, admission opens at 10:00. Then admission opens from 09:00 on 24, 25, and 26 September. Visitors with a valid booking may exit and re-enter the venue as many times as they like within their session. Last entry is at 16:00 and the venue will close at 17:00.

Once they enter the NECC, visitors will find themselves in a unique and immersive experience. Not only will they be able to see the world’s most talented young skilled people compete at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, but they will also be able to learn more about the value of skills at the WorldSkills Expo. People of all ages can explore the latest technologies, understand more about skilled professions, and put their own skills to the test at dozens of Try-a-Skills stands situated around the halls of the NECC.
