WorldSkills and SATA extend their partnership to 2030

SATA has renewed its Global Industry Partnership to 2030, securing its support for Car Painting at the next three WorldSkills Competitions.

WorldSkills is proud to announce the extension of its long-standing partnership with SATA, the globally renowned German manufacturer of spray guns and accessories for automotive refinishing.

The renewal of the partnership was announced in an official ceremony at the SATA headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany on 12 August, cementing SATA’s role as a Global Industry Partner (GIP) until the end of 2030.

The agreement was signed between the CEO of SATA, Mike Wolf, and Alexander Amiri, Director of Sponsorship and Partnership at WorldSkills International.

Following the signing, Mike said, “Inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals has always been at the heart of SATA’s mission. Renewing our partnership with WorldSkills allows us to continue contributing to the global advancement of technical and vocational excellence in our industry in a meaningful way.”

Alex added, “This extended partnership reflects the strength of our collaboration and our shared belief in the power of skills to transform lives. Up until now, SATA has played a vital role in helping us raise the standard of Car Painting and drive sustainability in the industry. We look forward to showcasing skills together over the coming years.”

SATA has been a key supporter of the WorldSkills movement for over a decade. It first became involved in the global stage for skills at WorldSkills Leipzig 2013. Since then, it has continued to provide cutting-edge spray-painting equipment and technical expertise, helping elevate the standard of the skill competition.

In 2019, SATA deepened its commitment to skills excellence by becoming a Global Industry Partner, joining a select group of world-leading companies that are shaping the future of skills and ensuring they best meet the needs of rapidly changing industries.

SATA has also contributed to important sustainability initiatives. Together with partners 3M and BASF, SATA co-organized the Sustainability Award in the Car Painting skill in 2019, 2022, and 2024, recognizing Competitors and Experts who demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainable practices in their work.

By renewing its partnership last month, SATA confirms its involvement in upcoming flagship events, including WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, WorldSkills Aichi 2028, and the WorldSkills Competition in 2030. As well as increasing its working relationship with WorldSkills International, SATA commits to collaborating more closely with the 28 other Global Premium Global Industry Partners of WorldSkills to continue to close the gap between skills education and industry’s needs.
