Tour services help WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 guests explore the ‘Magic City’
Visitors to WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 can access a selection of tour and travel services to help make the most of their time in China.
As Shanghai prepares the global stage for the 48th WorldSkills Competition, Shanghai China International Travel Service (SCITS), with the support of WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, has designed bespoke tour and travel packages that will allow visitors to explore Shanghai and the Jiangnan region with ease.
Family, friends, and supporters may be interested in these packages during the event. Tour and travel services will be available for Member delegates from 28 September 2026.
Two packages are available to give first-time visitors access to the city’s culture and history and help them understand why it is known as the Magic City.
The first package is called Come for Skills, Stay for Shanghai. It includes 12 themed tours that suit different schedules with options ranging from half-day city highlights to full-day cultural immersions. For those with more time, there are three-day journeys into the wider Jiangnan region, with four-star hotel stays included on the longer packages.
Itineraries celebrate the fusion between traditional and modern culture that make Shanghai such a memorable city. Highlights include soaking up the city’s modern skyline, visiting its ancient water towns and classical gardens, and exploring its industrial heritage sites. Most packages include a visit to the WorldSkills Museum, and all of them link the city’s cultural story back to the Competition’s spirit of skills excellence.
Tours include bilingual English-Chinese guides, air-conditioned transport, and admission tickets, with flexible payment options and family-friendly pricing. Visitors who are interested can book online through the official portal, with tours running from 22 to 30 September 2026.
The second package is called Supporter Travel Services and has been developed by the Shanghai China International Travel Service for the family, friends, and delegations accompanying the Competitors, providing a streamlined, hassle-free experience as they attend WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.
The package includes five nights of hotel accommodation and scheduled daily shuttle transfers to and from the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) on the four days of the Competition. A dedicated English-speaking support team will be available before arrival and throughout the visit. Those who take up this package also have the option of adding on tours, extra hotel nights, and airport transfers.
Tour information and online booking are available through the SCITS website. Bookings for Supporter Travel Services are open and enquiries can be made to the service team at Shanghai China International Travel Service on worldskills@scits.com.
