The 2009 French Skills Team was presented to the press and general public on Tuesday, July 7th 2009 in Paris. The reception was held in the beautiful ‘Boffrand’ salon of the French Senate, and the team was welcomed by the President of the Senate, Mr. Gérard Larcher.

The 44 young team members come from all the different French regions and were selected as the best of France in their respective skills. They will be going to Calgary (Canada) from 1st to 6th September 2009, to take part in the 40th WorldSkills Competition, which is a major event in the world of vocational education.

Guests present at the official ceremony included French Senators, representatives of government, ministries and regional councils, as well as sponsors. All are supportive of the French team and proud of the talents displayed by its members.

Sharing a common passion for skills and a permanent search of excellence, these youngsters have only one goal: to represent France on the international stage and win a gold medal in their respective skills!
