WorldSkills International, HP LIFE, and UNESCO-UNEVOC will co-host BeChangeMaker Youth Festival 2025 from 10 to 11 April. This new initiative aims to unite over 300 past participants of our startup accelerator programme to showcase social enterprises and initiatives led by young people.

Themed “Igniting Change, Empowering Action”, the event is the first to be hosted for the BeChangeMaker Alumni Network, a network to support teams from the entrepreneurship programme beyond its completion, fostering ongoing collaboration and mentorship.

The Festival’s goal is to foster a dynamic platform for exchange and inspiration among young social entrepreneurs, and to equip them with the tools to spark action and lead sustainable change within their communities.

UNESCO-UNEVOC brings extensive experience in organizing activation events with its youth networks. This first edition of the Festival will lay the groundwork for an annual gathering of BeChangeMaker past participants, with the vision of future events being entirely led by members of the alumni network.

The festival’s agenda features a blend of industry insights, skill-building workshops, networking opportunities, and knowledge sharing.

Some of the sessions will feature panel discussions on emerging trends in social change and the future of work, lead by top social entrepreneurs and industry experts. The two-day event will also be packed with micro-learning sessions on entrepreneurship, digital innovation and sustainability, and even a session on managing mental health and burnout.

BeChangeMaker Alumni will also take centre stage. MedVax Health, a finalist from BeChangeMaker’s 2023 edition, will deliver a TED-style talk. Other high-achieving teams like Sekofia, Doorcas Africa, and I Hear You will lead different masterclasses. The two-day event will also integrate alumni panel discussions with industry representatives or not-for-profit organizations.
