Registration now open for WorldSkills Croatia Conference 2025

As a key side event of the WorldSkills General Assembly 2025, taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 12 to 17 October, WorldSkills Croatia will host an international conference on 14 October 2025.

Titled “Skills (r)evolution. Empowering the future with skills development and TVET”, WorldSkills Croatia Conference 2025 will gather international organizations, policymakers, industry representatives, and educators to discuss the future of skills development. They will join delegates from WorldSkills Member countries and regions, as well as representatives from the WorldSkills Champions Trust.

The event will focus on the evolving landscape of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), highlighting its role in addressing global challenges through innovation and collaboration.

With a prestigious speaker line-up already confirmed, the Conference promises to spark dialogue on how skills development can drive innovation, workforce resilience, and economic transformation in an era of rapid change and transformations.

Speakers include Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills at the OECD, Manuela Geleng, Director for Jobs and Skills, Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, European Commission, and Kristine Naltchadjian, Regional Director at Coursera, as well as Croatian public figures and many more leading voices from around the world.

The programme will feature a dynamic mix of plenary sessions and interactive workshops which will provide a space for thought and exchange on the impact of AI and automation on the workforce, strategies for strengthening TVET’s adaptability, and the role of skills in fostering sustainable and circular economies.

The sessions will reflect on how skills can revolutionize innovation, competitiveness, and workforce mobility when given priority and supported with effective policymaking.

The WorldSkills Croatia Conference 2025 welcomes government officials, policymakers, TVET professionals, industry leaders, and youth, and is open to all – not just attendees of the WorldSkills General Assembly 2025.

Registration is free and open until 19 May 2025, with optional packages available that include transfers, accommodation, and meals.
