Pearson becomes new WorldSkills Global Premium Partner

WorldSkills welcomes Pearson as its newest Global Premium Partner, following an official signing ceremony on day one of WorldSkills General Assembly 2025 in Dubrovnik.

Over 350 delegates from WorldSkills Members and Global Partners witnessed Pearson become the fifth Global Premium Partner. The world’s leading lifelong learning company has joined the WorldSkills movement to advance skills development worldwide.

The announcement was made at the end of the first day of WorldSkills General Assembly 2025 and the signing took place between Sharon Hague, CEO of Pearson UK, and Francis Hourant, President of WorldSkills. The partnership builds on Pearson’s growing engagement with the global skills movement to help learners future-proof their careers, including its ongoing collaboration with WorldSkills UK.

On signing the agreement, Sharon said, “As a long-term champion and provider of technical and vocational education Pearson is proud to partner with WorldSkills International. Boosting the profile and prestige of this sector is incredibly important - it plays a crucial role in driving both personal success for learners as well as economic growth at a global level.”

Francis said, “Pearson brings exceptional people, expertise and education to our WorldSkills community. We are excited about the opportunity to work with them to advance skills development on a global scale.”

Pearson delivers vibrant and enriching learning experiences designed for real-life impact, with 18,000 employees serving customers in nearly 200 countries with digital content, assessments, qualifications, and data. Working together, WorldSkills hopes to draw on Pearson’s deep expertise in modernizing assessment and building inclusive, digitized training systems.

Pearson joins Samsung, Stanley Black & Decker, Festo, and Neusoft as the fifth Global Premium Partner. Its elevated status reflects Pearson’s ongoing commitment to delivering skills excellence, so a new generation of talent is equipped for the future of work in the age of AI.
