WorldSkills International is seeking an experienced professional to join its global team as Senior Manager of Event Technology.
Setting the stage for young skilled professionals to shine, WorldSkills is a global movement determined to improve skills development. The organization reaches more than two-thirds of the world’s population through its 90 Member countries and regions. Every two years, WorldSkills hosts the world’s largest skills competition, the WorldSkills Competition, featuring more than 1,400 young people showcasing their skills.
As WorldSkills continues to grow the scale and complexity of its Events, the organization has opened a new position within its global, multicultural, and virtual Secretariat to support the technology behind its Events.
Senior Manager of Event Technology
The Senior Manager of Event Technology will play a vital role in the success of WorldSkills events, liaising with the Event Organizer to ensure that ICT hardware, software, and services meet WorldSkills International’s requirements. The role combines technical expertise with project management, overseeing network architecture, cyber security, on-site support and asset disposal and related projects. The Senior Manager will also support the day-to-day technology needs of the WorldSkills International Secretariat.
The right candidate will bring hands-on technology management experience from large-scale international events along with strong project management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
