FANUC reflects on the importance of WorldSkills
WorldSkills attended the inauguration of the Global Partner’s new premises in Paris, France.
WorldSkills representatives met last week with President and CEO of FANUC Corporation, Mr Kenji Yamaguchi, during the inauguration of FANUC’s new facilities in Paris, France.
A leading global manufacturer of factory automation and robots, FANUC, became a Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills in 2018, supporting Robot Systems Integration. With more than 40 years experience developing industrial robots, the Japanese corporations’ role as a Global Partner has focused on supporting a new generation of robot developers.
The event was attended by Stefan Praschl, WorldSkills International Board member – Competitions, and Alexander Amiri, Director of Sponsorship and Partnership of WorldSkills International.
“It was a great opportunity to meet with Mr Yamaguchi in Paris and discuss the importance of ensuring training is at pace with rapid technological innovations,” said Mr Amiri. “The partnership between WorldSkills and FANUC, and their support for WorldSkills Competitions, is instrumental to helping young people around the world develop their skills and expertise needed in such a fast-changing industry.”
FANUC was a sponsor and co-organizer of Robot Systems Integration at WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, which took place in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, from 17 to 20 October 2022. Eleven young robot integrators competed to become the best in their skill.
