BeChangeMaker 2022 kicks off with selection of Top 30 teams

Thirty teams of young social entrepreneurs from across the world are set to turn their ideas into businesses with the help of BeChangeMaker 2022.

The online training programme, hosted jointly by WorldSkills and the HP Foundation, is now in its sixth edition. This year’s teams have been selected from 208 applications from 53 countries and regions.

Between June and October, they will have access to high-quality learning content on HP LIFE, tools and technology for start-up acceleration, dedicated coaching, mentoring, and customized support, as well as the opportunity to tap into a diverse global network of potential supporters and investors. Their efforts will lead them to the final pitch where the top five teams will compete to become BeChangeMaker 2022 and to receive financial support and customized post-programme coaching to accelerate their ideas to the next level.

There will also be a special crowdfunding campaign for each of the top five teams which will be chosen in early September. The funds raised will help teams to generate more awareness of the social issues, promote their business solutions, and secure additional financial resources to get their innovative ideas off ground.

Reflected by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the projects address a diversity of global challenges ranging from online bullying, to skills training and employment for persons with disabilities, and access to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.
