Brigitte brings over 20 years of WorldSkills experience to her role as Board member – Competitions, combining her extensive background in Hospitality and Events and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with a deep understanding of WorldSkills Competitions.
Her career began in hospitality and events, with experience in leadership and management roles in hotels and restaurants before transitioning to education as a Teacher in Hospitality and Events for TAFE NSW, progressing to Head Teacher and then Faculty Manager, gaining experience in training and development, stakeholder collaboration, budget forecasting, and curriculum development.
Her WorldSkills journey began in 2003 as an Expert in Restaurant Service, advancing to Chief Expert and in 2012 Technical Delegate, and Competitions Committee Delegate Lead.
Brigitte has been General Manager for WorldSkills Australia since 2016, her role includes strategy planning, financial accountability, leadership and management of all operational aspects of competitions.
