Are you ready to be a world champion in your skill? Since 1996 and over the last eight biennial international WorldSkills Competitions, 16 gold medal winners have done Singapore proud by being recognised among the world's most technically skilled youth.

These bright young talents took their first step towards international venture and adventure on home ground - by participating in WorldSkills Singapore, a national skills competition for Singaporean youth who excel in technical skills.

Having won the country’s battle of skills and wits, they went on to represent Singapore on the world stage - at the WorldSkills Competition.

The next national showdown is coming up soon. WorldSkills Singapore 2011, the 9th of its kind, will be held from January 20 to 22, 2011. Singaporean students and trainees from secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics, ITE Colleges, companies and other institutions of higher learning, are invited to visit the Competition, showcasing 17 skill areas.

Winners will get the chance to represent Singapore at the prestigious 41st WorldSkills Competition to be held in London, United Kingdom, in October 2011.
