From the CEO’s Desk
After changes to the date and the location due to the Christchurch earthquake, we did manage to run a very successful and beneficial Team Camp at the ETCO Induction Centre at Ramarama. This facility, generously loaned to us by ETCO was excellent for our purpose as we had the place to ourselves and allowed us to focus completely on the job at hand. My grateful thanks to Mr Peter Rushworth from ETCO for his support and to Luke Boustridge.
The purpose of the team camp was for everyone to get to know one another and become a “team” so that when they are overseas they know they will have the support of their team mates. It was also an opportunity for some expert/competitor interaction and for some of the category groups to work together as a collective on subjects which affect them all.
We are also grateful to NZ Defence who provided the facilities and personnel for a team building exercise at the Papakura Camp. This had all the expertise of Defence Team Building techniques without the Sergeant-Major yelling and was a fantastic start to the weekend.
