WorldSkills London 2011 update
By WorldSkills London 2011
With WorldSkills London 2011 just over a year away, preparations for the big Competition are ramping up with a ‘taster’ event due to take place at Skills London in October this year.
Skills London, running at ExCeL London from 7–9 October, will mark the start of the official countdown to WorldSkills London 2011 and will kick off a year-long programme of events and activities which will take place across the UK.
The event will provide the perfect opportunity to find out more about what will be happening at WorldSkills London 2011 and how to get involved. Plans for Skills London include:
- A programme of events to spark debate about how skills shape our world
- Taster sessions of some of the skills that will be showcased at WorldSkills London 2011 delivered with help from partners and sponsors
- Official announcement of the WorldSkills London 2011 sponsors and of plans to work with schools and colleages to engage as many of the UK’s young people as possible
Every community and business in the UK thrive on skills, enterprise and inspiration. We want WorldSkills London 2011 to be the catalyst that sparks the ambitions of people across the country to open their minds to the possibilities their futures may hold.
