WorldSkills Leaders Forum 2015
The WorldSkills Conference Programme is specifically designed as a set of opportunities over the course of six days for participants to gather information, share best practice, discuss trends, and network. The Programme is open to leaders from all skill sectors, worldwide. As the premier Conference event, the WorldSkills Leaders Forum will bring together 500 of these leaders from business, industry, and governments to exchange ideas and engage in dialogue about how to inspire and prepare the next generation of skilled professionals - the individuals who will meet the future needs of the workplace, economies, and societies. These are the individuals who are the Competitors, Champions, and Experts of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015!
At the WorldSkills Leaders Forum on 13 August 2015, participants will have the opportunity to listen to insight from Jim Carroll, world class futurist and expert on innovation and industry trends. In this session, he will challenge the audience to imagine the future of the global labour market and the demands on professionals - both skills and attitudes. In addition to our imagining, he will provide some hard facts about the future as he sees and understands it will be. He will pose a few questions to prompt thinking, collaboration, and action, including: How do we transform the technical vocational education and training of today to meet the demands of the future? How do we adapt what we do today to meet the future demand for relevant skills? How do we bridge from today to tomorrow quickly?
Following the keynote, Carroll will be joined on a panel by WorldSkills Champions Trust Members Katie Wright, Lucq Post, Victor Simon, Ricardo Vivian, and Sufyan Zainalabidin. Together, these individuals have helped to create the WorldSkills Champions Trust – an initiative to help continue the connection between WorldSkills and Champions. These experienced, young professionals will share their journeys to today and relate their experiences along the way. They will reflect on Carroll’s message, and talk about not only where they have come from…but also what the implications of the future mean for how they propose to adapt to change, and continue their careers.
The WorldSkills Conference Programme and the Leaders Forum require a ticket. Tickets for the not-to-be-missed WorldSkills Leaders Forum are almost sold out. Visit www.worldskillsconference.com to order your tickets today!
