Watch the Water Technology: Online and Hybrid Skills Challenge

Fresh, clean water is our most precious resource and keeping it that way is something we can all get behind

That is the motivation for the upcoming 1st Water Technology: Online and Hybrid Skills Challenge.

Competitors from 10 WorldSkills Member countries and regions are ready to put their skills to the test in the event, which is supported by WorldSkills and Global Partner, Festo.

This year’s event combines digital and hands-on skills and begins on 20 July at 0900 CEST. The winners will be announced on 22 July.

Increasing skills development in Water Technology has started at WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 and has seen a growing demand at WorldSkills over the years.

With much of the world’s available water now comes from desalination or reclaimed from waste, mastering the technology to make it fit for consumption is a great career for young people that also helps make life better for millions.

“The Online Hybrid Skills Challenge mirrors the same values we strive for during the WorldSkills Competition. Water is becoming more and more a precious resource. We want to boost skills in Water Technology to foster post-covid19 economic growth and personal success.” says Dr. Nader Imani, VP Global Education, Festo.
