Team UK selection

Last week, the majority of Squad UK Competitors battled it out for a place in Team UK for WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 in a series of selection competitions, held over 3 weeks across 11 sites. Those in the running have been training since 2012 as part of Squad UK.
Each Competitor faced strict competition conditions for 22 hours. Tension levels were high as the competitions were designed to accurately reflect the conditions Team UK will face at WorldSkills Leipzig 2013.
What happens after Team UK selection?
Team UK will be formally announced on 15 March 2013.
A media relations campaign will be launched and profiles of Team UK members will be available on the WorldSkills UK website. Team UK, their training providers and employers will be promoted up to, during and after WorldSkills Leipzig 2013.

Team UK will be celebrated at a send off reception before flying to Leipzig on 28 June at the London Film Museum.
