Startechs' Days - The Belgian Competitions

Startechs’ Days (or the Belgian competitions) were held in 8 different training centres from Wallonia and Brussels Region during almost one week (March 21-25). In connection to this event, skillsbelgium and its partners organized Try-a-trade, Try-a-skill activities for primary and secondary school pupils who also got the chance to see our competitors in action and support them.
More than 500 young people have taken part in the pre-selection process out of which 229 have participated to the national selections. 9% were girls.
The first three finalists from each skill have been invited to an award ceremony organized on April 6th. All of them left home with a medal: gold, silver or bronze. The gold medal finalists will continue the adventure and represent Belgium at the 41st WorldSkills Competition in London.

The selections for Electrical Installations are currently being organised. The Electrician will soon join the team.
