Get a Sneak Peek at the New WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 website
Development of the WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 website is well underway and now we need your help. We are looking for user testers. In other words people to provide feedback on the development so far. You do not have to be a website ‘expert’ to take part. We are looking for people from across the WorldSkills community to participate. You will all be users of the website and this is your chance to tell us if we are providing you with what you need. If you would like to be involved please contact the Head of Marketing, Communications and PR at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017, Crispin Thorold at crispin.thorold@worldskillsabudhabi2017.com.
User needs have been at the heart of this project, which began with a discovery phase during which we interviewed scores of people and also conducted a survey. This helped us identify the most important user needs – within the UAE, the GCC and internationally. You can read about the findings of this research and the ‘personas’ of the typical user groups that we are building the site for on our development blog: http://digital-wsad2017.tumblr.com/post/138544243339/user-research-overview.
We are currently coming to the end of the “alpha” phase. This was the stage during which we developed and tested early ideas, approaches and design directions before building the complete website in English and Arabic. It is hoped that the full bilingual website will be launched by July.
Thank you for your help and we look forward to getting your perspective on what we have planned.
