Set up is well under way

wsc2011_setup_02oct11.jpgThings are starting to heat up at ExCel London in preparation for the biggest skills Competition in the world.  From October 5-8, WorldSkills London 2011 will see approximately 950 Competitors from around the globe put their skills to the test.  This youth event will bring together the best of the best in the skilled trades and technology, all vying for the title of world champion.

Competitors will be competing in 45 skill areas ranging from aircraft maintenance to web design.  Set up for the event began last week and will take nine days to complete.   This massive undertaking involves several crews and experts who have been working diligently to ensure the competition site and each skill area are ready for first day of competition.   One crew member noted this was the “hardest job” he’s ever been involved with from a set up perspective.
