Robin van Galen goes for another gold medal

Team Netherlands receives coaching session for WorldSkills 2009
On Wednesday evening, June 17th, former Olympic Games gold medal winning Coach, Robin van Galen will be coaching 28 Dutch Skilled Youngsters, together forming Team Netherlands who are preparing for this years ultimate skills challenge. They will take on the battle together with approximately another 900 skilled youngsters from all over the World during the 40th WorldSkills Competition in Calgary, Canada.

For his coaching performance during the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, winning the gold with the woman’s water polo team, Van Galen was selected as Dutch coach of the year by his peers. Like he did during the Olympic Games he will try to inspire WorldSkills Team Netherlands by reflecting on winners mentality, team performance and commitment. Giving a coaching session to Team Netherlands will definitely help the team to reach their goals in winning as much gold medals as possible during WorldSkills Calgary 2009.

During the presentation ceremony on Wednesday evening June 17, Team Netherlands will be officially presented to the public and media on which Van Galen will hand over the Dutch Team Flag to the Team Captain of Team Netherlands.

Dutch media is invited to attend the presentation ceremony on which occasion there are opportunities and possibilities for interviewing members of Team Netherlands.
