Making the most of your visit to WorldSkills Lyon 2024

From 10 to 15 September, 1,400 young people from across the world will step onto the global stage to showcase the skills that will shape our future. Here’s everything you need to know to be part of this exciting event.

Getting to Eurexpo

Eurexpo Lyon, the venue for WorldSkills Lyon2024, offers easy access via multiple transport options. It is a 20-minute journey from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport by air. If arriving by train, Lyon’s three TGV stations – Part Dieu, Perrache, and Saint-Exupéry – connect to major French and European cities. Driving? Follow clear signage to “Porte Visiteurs” from all directions. Public transport includes a dedicated bus service and a bike path from Part Dieu station.

WorldSkills Lyon 2024 will have volunteers around the city and a dedicated team in the Lyon Tourist Information office to help visitors make their way to the Competition. For more detailed travel information can be found here.

Secure your free ticket

WorldSkills opens skills excellence to everyone. Which is why it is easy and free to secure your ticket for WorldSkills Lyon 2024! Visitors can watch the Competitors in action and then try their hand at over 50 different skills.

Just visit the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 website and choose general registration for up to 10 individual tickets each, or groups and schools registration for parties of at least nine people. Please note though that group registrations for 12 September are no longer available.

Celebrate with us at the Ceremonies

Unfortunately tickets for the Opening Ceremony on 10 September are sold out. But there is still time to join an international audience, cheering on our Champions at the spectacular Closing Ceremony. Bringing the 47th WorldSkills Competition to its breathtaking finale, the Closing Ceremony will take place on 15 September at 18:30 CEST at the world-famous Groupama Stadium. Tickets cost €50 and are going fast so do not miss out! Visit the website to secure your place and be part of the celebrations.

Get involved in WorldSkills Conference 2024

WorldSkills Conference 2024 runs in alignment with WorldSkills Lyon 2024 and will take place for two days from 11 to 12 September. It brings together experts, thought leaders, and policymakers to discuss the future of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). This year’s theme, “Moving TVET to the top of the global agenda”, explores how equipping young people with skills is essential to tackling the major challenges we face in an uncertain and rapidly changing world.

While registration has closed, key sessions from WorldSkills Conference 2024 will be live streamed each day on the website. For those already attending, the Conference Whova app has all the information delegates need to know to make the most of the day, including creating their own agenda and accessing speaker biographies.

Lyon will be an international hub of skills excellence for the next week as Competitors go head-to-head in 62 skills. For those who cannot be here in person, WorldSkills is bringing all the action to a global audience through its websites and social channels.

WorldSkills Lyon 2024
