Invitation to Singapore International Technical and Vocational Education and Training Conference
The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) is delighted to invite Members of WorldSkills International to the third Singapore International Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Conference 2012, which will be held in Singapore from 6-9 November 2012.
Funded by Temasek Foundation, and jointly organized by all the public-funded TVET institutions in Singapore, this Conference is targeted at TVET policy makers, leaders, principals, researchers and educationalists.
The conference will highlight Singapore's strategies for a responsive and sustainable TVET system that supports economic growth. The Singapore TVET institutions will share their experiences in the Conference and through visits to the ITE Colleges and Polytechnics.
The Conference will be attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, the Coordinating Minister for National Security and the Minister for Home Affairs. Renowned TVET thought-leaders and practitioners from Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom and United States of America will be presenting papers and sharing ideas and best practices at the Conference. Mr Marc S. Tucker, President and CEO of the National Centre on Education and the Economy will be giving an opening keynote address at the Conference.
