CNC Turning Competitors produced Chess Pieces with a fantastic finish.

With a round of applause, and a sigh of relief, skill areas finished one by one on Saturday afternoon between 1:30pm and 6:00pm at the WorldSkills Competition in Calgary.

Over a 4 day period, Competitors used every bit of knowledge they have in their skill area. Smiling as they put away their tools, from Jewelry to Landscape Gardening, all over the site, Competitors know that they did their absolute best and hope the shiny gold medal will be theirs to claim.

The Closing Ceremony will be held today at 6:00 at the Corral, Stampede Park. The results of the 40th WorldSkills Competition will be reviled and the next generation Champions declared. This will be the official end to WorldSkills Calgary 2009.

The most important thing of all, of course, is that everyone who came here for the WorldSkills Competition came for an experience of a lifetime’. Congratulations to all WorldSkills Competitors for giving it their all, and for bringing such amazing talent and culture to the City of Calgary.
