All Countries, One Nation
Today there was a competition within a competition held at CNC Turning called All Countries, One Nation. Competitors from 23 countries were divided into 2 teams. Each team was given a set of blue-prints to make a complete Chess set.
Even though there were plenty of language and cultural barriers to work through, both of these diverse teams worked diligently to produce the chess pieces on 12 computers and 6 CNC machines. From start to finish, teams had to program the computers, set up the machines, cut the raw material, and complete the chess set.
This was nothing but a friendly game - a way for the Competitors to work together, build friendships, and have fun as they work on something different and wind down from the stress of the WorldSkills Competition.
This also provided spectators with a very entertaining and interesting way of seeing CNC Turning in action.
