Have you ever wondered what the WorldSkills journey is like?

The JourneyYou’re about to find out!

WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 is just under 280 days away and now there is a project that will show you the journey of five Competitors.

A German company, Flying Moon GmbH, is searching for five talented film teams (aged 18-25) from five WorldSkills International Member countries/regions (representing five different continents) to document the life and work of young, passionate and inspiring Competitors from Australia, Brazil, Germany, South Africa and South Korea. The project will follow these individuals on their journey to WorldSkills Leipzig 2013!

But this is more than just a film project! Flying Moon's aim is to create a unique transmedia documentary experience entitled “Get Ready”. Spanning across several media platforms, the final documentary film will be the result of a collective effort, with its premiere at WorldSkills Leipzig 2013.

During production, the work of the teams will be documented and promoted both locally and internationally through an evolving web-series and continual online communication. There is also the potential for the final film to receive national TV exposure! Developed over three workshops, each team will receive expert support and guidance from experienced mentors to help create and produce their projects.

If you are interested in putting a submission in to be one of the film teams, the deadline for submissions is 31 October 2012.

Filming will take place between February and July 2013.
