Dear *|FNAME|*,

Editorial: By Michelle Bussey,
Communications and Marketing Director, WSI

With the 6 month countdown to the 41st WorldSkills Competition officially underway, all sights are on London. It’s going to be a busy time for Competitors, Experts, Delegates, supporters and organisers of the Competition. You’ll see from this issue that everyone in the WorldSkills movement has been busy promoting, planning and preparing for London.

As we continue to move closer to WorldSkills London 2011, more and more teams are being chosen from our 54 Members. We admire the training and dedication it takes all Competitors to get to the WorldSkills Competition and wish everyone all the best in your final preparations and look forward to seeing you in October.

WorldSkills London 2011 has been busy creating resources and tools for Members to use in promoting the Competition; take some time to see what they have produced below.

Last but not least, the WorldSkills movement has entered a new phase with the launch of the WorldSkills Foundation. A key strategy in WorldSkills' 2020 Vision was realised with the launch of the WorldSkills Foundation in Madrid, Spain on 4 April 2011. The Foundation's purpose is to complement the WorldSkills Competition with a program of research, advocacy and education activities. In this way, the Foundation aims to achieve its shared mission with WorldSkills International to promote skills across the world.
